Who is patrick really?

Why those 5 words?

Creativity has always been at the core of who I am. There is something electrifying about sharing your ideas with the world and seeing a positive response. It is a feeling every creative knows and chases. That drive even led me to start my own Etsy shop, which unexpectedly went viral, showing the power of original ideas and persistence.

Leadership is another trait that comes naturally to me. I believe every team needs a captain, and I strive to be that person. Guiding a team to achieve a goal together and celebrating the wins, while learning from the losses, is an incredibly rewarding experience. I thrive on challenges both in and out of work.

Competition also plays a big role in my life through axe throwing. My involvement began while managing the active entertainment department at The HUB Stadium, where I was first introduced to the sport. Since then, I have competed regularly in leagues and tournaments and even built a full practice setup in the garage at home. I also run my own axe throwing league business, Major League Axe Throwing, which can be found at ThrowMLAT.com. What draws me to the sport is the one-on-one skill challenge, the opportunity for personal growth, sharing time with my wife, and the satisfaction of ending a long week by throwing sharp, heavy objects at the wall with no consequences.

I grew up in a home that was under construction for much of my childhood, with a major addition constantly in progress. Coming from a family of carpenters, the expertise was always close at hand. When dad sent us away from the construction chaos, my brothers and I spent our time in the woods behind our home catching bugs, stalking deer, and building forts from fallen tree limbs. Today, nature remains my happy place, a space where I can recharge, reflect, and be myself.

And yellow is more than my favorite color. As a designer, bright colors bring me joy and I embrace them wherever I can. I even drive a bright yellow truck. People usualy end up calling me "yellow truck guy". My license plate even reads YEL10W. Yellow represents optimism and joy, and I try to live by both.
